Welcome to dignity-based conversations.

My Framework for Individual Therapy

Anchored Relational Therapy
(formerly AIR Network)

An integrative theory of psychology as it pertains to both normal development and the impact of complex trauma on individuals throughout the lifespan. This theory underlies the practice of the Anchored Relational model for working with Complex PTSD and Dissociation, with interconnected considerations of neurology, development, dignity and competence, resilience, vulnerability, and intersectionality.

As an Advanced Certified Anchored Relational Therapist,
I utilize this modality as the basis for our work.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful, body-based therapy that locates, processes, and releases, trauma, anxiety, and emotional pain stored in the subcortical brain. It operates on the principle that "where you look affects how you feel," using specific eye positions (brainspots) to access and heal deep-seated issues that traditional talk therapy may not reach.

I am trained in Brainspotting Phase 1.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement, Desentization and Reprocessing) is an 8-phase treatment model of psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Application EMDR occurs after assessment of phases 1-3 and will be discussed as a part of the treatment planning.

I am trained in EMDR Level 1, Level 2, and Complex Trauma and Dissociation.

Polyvagal Theory Advance Training

Polyvagal Theory emphasizes the role the autonomic nervous system - especially the vagus nerve - plays in regulating our health and behavior. Created and developed by Stephen Porges, PhD, the theory describes the physiological/psychological states which underlie our daily behavior as well as challenges related to our wellness and mental health. By applying Polyvagal Theory to our personal lives, we can understand how safety, co-regulation, and connection are paramount to a healthy human experience.

I have taken advanced trainings including the Polyvagal Certificate Course and Embodying Safety Course: Integrating Yoga, Qigong, and Polyvagal Theory.
